Along with Cheonwangbong and Banyabong, it is one of the three main peaks of Jirisan Mountain. This is the place where the ritual ceremony for the guardian spirit of a mountain is held. It provides us with seasonal views such as azaleas in spring, daylily and clouded sea in summer, foliage in autumn, and snow covered field and mountains in winter.
Nogodan is famous as the starting point for Jirisan Mountain hiking course. Starting from here, the 25.5km long Jirisan Mountain ridge trail, which runs from Imgulyeong-Banyabong-Tokkibong-Byuksoryeong-Seseokpyeongjeon-to Cheonwangbong, is a course every climber wants to visit.
