Pressed painting is an art form that emphasizes a painting style after drying flowers, leaves, and stems of plants by pressing them. The Museum of Korean Pressed Painting is the country's only exhibition hall for pressed paintings, featuring some 600 works, including some works that won the President's Award in the Korean Pressed Painting Competition. Anyone can get systematic education through the Pressed Painting Academy, run by Gurye-gun's pressed painting research institute, and it also runs experience programs for tourists.
